Why Some Dogs Sploot

Have you ever noticed your dog laying down, with legs splayed?

That's called a sploot or splooting. Some people call it frogging.

In fact, there are three kinds of sploots. What??

Full sploot: both legs splayed.

Half sploot: one leg tucked.

Side sploot: splooting to one side only.

Some breed sploot more than others, such as all kinds of bulldog and pit bull varieties.

Also, some dogs sploot as a puppy and then never again.
