Around this time of the year, readers always want to know where they can go to get pet photos with the Easter Bunny. With Easter falling early in 2024 — it is March 31, 2024, in case you don’t know — by the first of March, all of the stores and shopping centers should have their Easter Bunny photo ops up and listed.
Where to go with your dog for pictures with the Easter Bunny
In the past, we’ve taken our dogs to four places to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, just as we did with pictures with Santa. Those places are:
- Bass Pro Shops
- Cabela’s
- Petco
- PetSmart
- Pet Supplies Plus
In fact, the picture at the top of this article was from an event one year at PetSmart. I was surprised that there weren’t more dog owners at the store when I took Oscar and Sadie for our pictures. I expect a long line. Nope, we were in and out quickly.
Easter Bunny pictures at PetSmart
Unfortunately, Petsmart will not be offering pictures with the Easter Bunny in 2024. So, I have no schedule to share with you. I’ll keep checking on the other pet chains mentioned above.
Photos with the Easter Bunny at Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas
Once again, Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas will be offering free photos with the Easter Bunny. Reservations open on March 16 for the two days when those photos are happening. They are:
- Saturday, March 23
- Sunday, March 24
You can get a free 4X6 photo. Also, you can register for paid packages.
According to the company website, “Appointments for Saturday 3/23 and Sunday 3/24 will be released starting 3/16. Additional appointments will be available to book at 12:01am local time, 7 days in advance. Reservations are recommended. If all time slots show fully booked, this means all bookings have been reserved for those dates and times.”
Easter Bunny pictures at a mall near you
As I wrote about in my article about Easter Bunny pictures at the Maine Mall in South Portland, near where I live in Maine, Cherry Hill is offering specific days of the week and times of the day for pet photos with the Easter Bunny.
To find a location near you, you’ll want to visit whereisbunny.com to choose the date and time most convenient for you and your family — two legged or four. Once you find a mall location near you, you’ll see a dropdown menu for dates and times.
You can toggle the header between “All” and “Events” to see the special pet parties. You’ll know you’ve found them when you see the blue-ish pawprint next to the time.
We went at 6:00 p.m. on a Monday for the picture shown below. It was the first time ever that my dogs didn’t bark at the Easter Bunny. They were so well behaved.

Pet Supplies Plus
In the past, Pet Supplies Plus locations nationwide have partnered with rescues, animal shelter and other good causes for Easter Bunny photos. The idea here being that you come in to take a picture with your pet and Mr. Bunny, and maybe you’ll shop or even adopt another animal while you’re there.
So far, one Pet Supplies Plus that I know of is doing pictures with the Easter Bunny. It is the Pet Supplies Plus in Nashua, New Hampshire.
They’re working with Ruff Tales Rescue. For a $5 donation to Ruff Tales, you can bring your pup to the Pets Supplies Plus on March 23, 2024, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., for photos with the Easter Bunny.
